How to Pilot a Seraph

[ - Pilot a on LNoS]  (GlitchGaming Exclusive)

.::MASSIVE UPDATE::.

(2/26/11)

——————————————

Due to various complaints and comments regarding the first round of this , I’ve put together a new, simpler version, that should hopefully allow more people to participate in this trick.

We’re going to opt out of adding a new text tutorial for this one, as the details in the video are incredibly straightforward, and there are no obstructed details to elaborate on.

However, I do have a couple of quick notes to point out:

  • If you are unable to jump onto the top of the Pelican, try shooting it a few times with a concussion rifle as it descends. This will cause it to dip slightly, and allow you to reach the top.
  • If you are having trouble breaking the barrier with Armor Lock, try using a Drop Shield instead. To use the DS, begin tapping the ability button quickly as the pelican begins to lift. If you begin to slide off, hold the button.

**UPDATED**

Hey guys, we’re back in action here. I had a little stint with my internet being unusable, but we should be good to go (maybe). Anyways, I’m letting you guys know that I finally got around to being able to upload, and that a full video and text tutorial on Pilot a Seraph on (no mods, of course) is now available.

*Editor’s note: I’ve taken the liberty of using this post as the tutorial, so that we can bring it back up to full attention.

Anyways, we hope that everything is clear enough to follow and understand, and let us know in the comments if you need help with something. Thanks!

Video Tutorial (Part 2 — Full Size Seraph):

Text Tutorial:

All you need to do is Plasma Pistol a Seraph as it flies by, then go find it. It’ll probably land a good distance out of the map, but you shouldn’t have any trouble getting to it if you know what you’re doing. You can do this on either the first or second part of the map, it doesn’t matter. All you need to do is make sure that you are able to get out once you disable the Seraph (using the Armor Lock + Pelican method is the simplest).

Now, another thing. If you PP it late in it’s flight path, it’ll begin to shrink and near it’s deload sequence. Once it shrinks, so does the trigger to enter it. It takes a little finessing to get in it at this point, but if you throw a ‘nade along side of it, and run under it as it rolls, (or just place it leaning against a wall), you should be able to get in to it without any trouble.

Once you have a Seraph at your disposal, you can then acquire a full-size Seraph to use. Have one player remain outside of the map, and another take the ‘beam of light’ Seraph, and crash into another as it flies past. If done correctly, the new ‘full-size’ Seraph, and your original one should both fall to the ground, for your use. Have fun flying it around, and be careful of walls. It tends to get a little squirrelly.
